Chakra sizes: Know where they are located and balancing techniques

Posted by Jacob Brian

In Sanskrit, the term ‘Chakra’ refers to wheels or disks, they are also referred to as energy centers, that are located along the axis of the spine on the energy body.

The size of the chakras for a practicing and meditative person is much bigger in diameter than a normal person and it generally depends on how evolved or spiritually connected the person is. For a highly evolved being, the chakra size can easily be as big as the area of a 100 square feet room.

Each chakra has petals and they have different colors such as green, blue, red, violet, yellow, and golden. These petals are either inwards or projecting outside as per the development of the energy body. When a chakra is referred to as open or activated, it means that its petals have now bloomed and open to receive more energy.

Energy centers are circular-shaped that spin clockwise and anticlockwise absorbing life force, or prana to keep the physical and emotional body healthy. When these chakras are blocked or congested and not functioning optimally, they need to be treated and balanced.

This technique is the most effective way to cleanse and balance chakras available in today's time, the healers scan the blockages by sensitizing their hands. They cleanse the chakras and get them back to their normal size and replenish the chakras with life force using specific colors until they go back to their optimal state.

  • Meditation

Practicing regular meditation also helps you balance chakras. When you meditate, the body releases stress and any lower emotions and immediately shifts the emotional state into a higher vibrational frequency, and assists you to connect to your divine self thereby with regular practice your chakras open and are aligned.

  • Crystal Healing

Mantras when chanted with faith and openness have the ability to cleanse the negative emotional energies from the system and helps heal the mind and the body. What are the higher chakras?

Chakras can be segmented as lower or higher chakras, it is referred to as such due to both its location on the human body and also because of the functions associated with each chakra.

The higher chakras are the Crown, Ajna, Forehead, Throat, and Heart chakra. The functions associated with each of these chakras are mostly on the higher or lower mental plane and becoming one with the divine spiritually. Also, these chakras are located on the upper body up to the chest level.

This chakra is the center of spiritual consciousness. It is through the crown chakra that one shows love for all and experiences oneness.

  • Ajna Chakra:

This chakra is responsible to control the higher will. Your Ajna chakra should be open and activated to understand certain abstract concepts mentally.

  • Forehead Chakra:

This chakra is can also be known as the wisdom chakra, and it also corresponds to intuition.

  • Throat Chakra:

The throat chakra is the center of higher creativity and lower mental faculty. You acquire knowledge through the use of the throat chakra.

  • Heart Chakra:

This chakra is responsible for higher emotions such as love, kindness, compassion, and joy. It is important to have a sharp intellect but to use it harmlessly you also need to have an open and activated heart chakra.

What is the 7th chakra?

The chakra system can be numbered and commonly called from 1-7th chakra. The numbering starts from the base of the spine, from the Mooladhara chakra up to the Crown.

The Sahasrara chakra or Crown chakra is the 7th chakra and is located at the top of the head. Highly evolved beings and practicing spiritual seekers have their crown chakras activated and it is for this reason that pictures of great beings, spiritual seekers, often show them with crowns or halo adorning their heads.

When your crown chakra is blocked or congested, it becomes difficult for one to be connected to spirituality. We tend to lose sight of our higher purpose in life and can become very materialized in the process, only to realize later that it is important to balance both the spiritual and material life.

It is when the Crown chakra is open and activated that one can have spiritual experiences and connect to the higher realm. It promotes universal love, peace, compassion, mercy, and living a very balanced life. Meditation on the Twin hearts developed by Master Choa Kok Sui is a very effective and powerful meditation to activate the crown and the heart chakra.
