Chakra imbalance and its association to Allergies

Posted by Jacob Brian

Any imbalance in the energy or subtle body can lead to complications in the physical body and therefore it is important to ensure that our chakras are balanced and in harmony with other bodies.

Chakras are energy centers and can also be termed as powerful centers that are an important part of the energy body. Our energy body has major, minor and mini chakras, each of which controls and energizes vital organs and helps control the proper functioning of the physical body.

People suffering from allergies have their Root chakra imbalanced along with the Solar Plexus, Sacral Chakra, Ajna chakra.

Types of Allergies

  • Drug Allergy
  • Food Allergy
  • Insect Allergy
  • Pet Allergy
  • Pollen Allergy
Chakra imbalance and its association to Allergies

Studies and reports have shown that food allergy is the most common allergy found in most cases. Food such as nuts, beans, certain types of fishes, milk, eggs, etc are some of the most common food items that cause allergies in daily life.

There can be allergic reactions immediately within 10 minutes of consumption that can cause vomiting, diarrhea, inflammation, rashes, etc.

Allergies occur when your immune system is challenged by a foreign substance. An allergen may enter the body by ingesting it or inhaling it, as well as through skin contact.

Root or Mooladhara chakra controls and energizes the muscular system, it has a connection and is responsible for the immune system. Chakra or Pranic healers work on the basic or Root chakra to improve the immunity in allergic patients.

Chakra Healing for allergies

As per studies, there are 7 major chakras, however as per Master Choa Kok Sui founder of Modern Pranic Healing, after his personal experience and experiments concluded there are 11 major chakras, namely Crown, Forehead, Ajna, Throat chakra, Front Heart chakra, Back Heart chakra, Front Solar Plexus, Back Solar Plexus, Navel, Sex or Sacral chakra and Basic chakra.

These energy centers or chakras rotate clockwise and anticlockwise taking ‘Prana’ or life-force energy from the surrounding to keep the body healthy.

Pranic Healers use specific colors such as Red, Orange, Green, etc when working with patients suffering from various kinds of allergies. The healers with the help of their hands disintegrate, cleanse negative energy and fill the chakra with more positive energy or life force. Every chakra has an immense healing potential that helps its restore and function smoothly.

Allergic patients usually have the following chakras imbalance

Root or Basic or Mooladhara Chakra:

It is located at the base of the spine. This chakra is associated with the instinct of self-survival. The Root chakra is responsible for the general vitality of the body. Malfunctioning of the basic chakra results in various ailments such as arthritis, bone issues, blood-related problems, and allergies.

The Solar Plexus or Manipura Chakra:

It is located between the ribs. The solar plexus chakra controls and energizes the diaphragm, pancreas, liver, and stomach. Additionally, the solar plexus chakra influences the quality of the blood since it regulates and energizes the liver, which is responsible for cleansing the blood.

An imbalance in the Solar Plexus chakra can cause the liver to infect, making the body vulnerable to allergies.

The Ajna Chakra:

It is located in between the eyebrows. The Ajna chakra controls and energizes the pituitary gland, the endocrine glands, and energizes the brain to a certain extent. It directs and controls the other major chakras and their corresponding endocrine glands and vital organs. As other chakras are dependent on the condition of the Ajna chakra it is important to treat this chakra when healing patients suffering from seasonal allergies.

Liver:

The liver is also treated as it detoxifies the blood. As per Pranic Healing, the cleansing of blood through the liver is essential for patients suffering from allergies. As a result of their condition, allergic patients’ livers become engorged with dirty energy, and thus it is imperative to clean the liver as well.

What are the best ways to stop allergies immediately?

  • Clean your nasal passages: You can use oils such as eucalyptus, peppermint, lavender, etc to ensure your nasal passages are clean to keep hay fever and allergies at bay.
  • Become Stress Free:  The immune system is weakened by stress, resulting in a greater chance of allergy development, it is very important to manage stress through the regular practice of Yoga and meditation.
  • Meditation: Meditation on the Twin Hearts developed by Master Choa Kok Sui is an effective and harmonizing meditation that brings down the stress levels and fear instantly, with regular practice, one can reduce the emotional imbalances and experience inner peace and bliss.

  • Detoxify the body:  Allergies can be aggravated by toxins in the body.

The presence of toxins in the body directly affects the liver, and as a consequence, the symptoms of allergy worsen.  One should abstain from eating unhealthy food so that the liver can detoxify and function optimally.

  • Strengthen immune system: Eating the right kind of food and avoiding fried or processed foods can help boost immunity. Simple but regular exercises such as walking in the park, stretching the body, jogging, jumping also helps in building immunity.
  • Chakra or Pranic Healing: Although there is a wide range of healing available today, this healing modality is the most effective of all. It is possible to achieve impressive results if one takes care and gets healings well in advance and regularly. Chakra healers work by cleansing and energizing chakras that are blocked or that are imbalanced, and by projecting specific color pranas to release negative energy so that the chakras function smoothly.

Here are some symptoms to understand if your chakras are blocked.

When there is too little energy flowing through a chakra, its depletion and when there is excessive energy flowing, it's termed as congestion, the flow of energy should neither be less nor be more. A blocked chakra doesn’t spin smoothly and therefore the energy that flows through it is not very fluent which can lead to various ailments on the physical as well as psychological levels.

Some common symptoms of blocked chakras mentioned below:

  • Feeling stressed most of the time
  • Indecisiveness
  • Fatigue and lack of energy
  • Feeling fearful and depressed
  • Self-destructive behavior
  • High Blood pressure or Diabetes

Which chakra is for energy?

Our chakras are meant to facilitate our physical, psychological, and emotional well-being by providing vital life force or prana. We experience ailments when the flow of this prana is disrupted, causing a depletion of energy in our system.

The Solar Plexus and the Mooladhara chakra are responsible for energy. The Solar Plexus is the center of power, confidence and all positive and negative emotions, while the Root chakra is responsible for dynamism and vitality. These 2 chakras in combination with all the other chakras are responsible for strength, power and effectiveness.

You come across a lot of people who show signs of giving up on life, they look stressed most of the time, they feel drowsy and are very inactive. The Solar plexus and the root chakra are congested and blocked, it is the Mooladhara chakra that needs activation, when this chakra is activated one feels energetic and vibrant, when the solar plexus is treated it develops confidence and induces strength and courage.

Along with the above mentioned chakras it is highly recommended to treat the Ajna chakra as it activates the will of the person, when you are willful it becomes easier for one to focus and not give up easily, when the Ajna chakra is balanced with the heart chakra one can be willful and loving at the same time.

Which chakra is related to health?

Each chakra is responsible for our spiritual, physiological, and psychological health. An individual's physical and emotional health is impacted by any congestion or depletion in their chakras.

The Root chakra is related to health. The root or mooladhara chakra is responsible for maintaining the immune system, when the root chakra is blocked or congested it affects the physical health of the person. People who have a strong, healthy and activated Root chakra tend to be robust and healthy.

The Root chakra is responsible for controlling and energizing the muscular and skeletal system. It energises and strengthens the whole physical body. This chakra when observed clairvoyantly is red in colour, and red as per the esoteric teachings is for strengthening. In order to remain youthful and healthy, one must have a healthy base chakra.

The root chakra is also responsible for survival, this chakra when healthy and activated helps in earning a living and attracting prosperity. One feels very secured and grounded with this chakra functioning at its optimal. Anybody struggling with finances, or finding a job or unable to succeed in business needs to treat the Mooladhara chakra.

‘The basic chakra is like the root of a tree. If the root is weak, the tree is weak. Similarly, if the basic chakra is weak, the body is also very weak. Another term for the basic chakra is “root chakra.” (Master Choa Kok Sui, Miracles Through Pranic Healing)’

How to unblock chakras?

For some unblocking of chakras happens with only a few healing sessions while for some it may take a few months depending on how long they have had the problem.

Once the chakras are unblocked the energy starts flowing evenly throughout the body and with that most physical and psychological ailments can be cured.

Pranic or Chakra healing is a very effective and result-oriented healing modality, unlike Reiki, in this healing technique, healers do not touch the patient nor the patient needs to be physically available as this healing works distantly as well.

Along with healing, following are some useful techniques to combat blocked chakras.

  • Chanting Mantras: Chanting specific mantras has been found to reduce stress, anxiety, and depressive symptoms. It helps improve mood in a positive way and increases relaxation, helps focus, and increases alertness. Through chanting, one benefits from a calm, self-compassionate perspective on life, as well as a more positive outlook.
  • Meditation: Studies in the past have shown that stress can worsen existing allergies, unsettling the balance in your body that governs the immune system.

Meditation can benefit in releasing negative emotions thereby increasing self-awareness. It helps in reducing emotional turbulence and also reducing depressive thoughtforms and thus increasing focus and overall well-being, which is crucial for balancing chakras.

  • Yoga: There are a variety of asanas such as the Tree pose asana, shoulder-stand pose, fish pose, that help fight allergies. Yoga indirectly alleviates allergies due to its relaxation benefits.
  • Breathing exercises: Stress can also trigger histamine release, which causes allergy symptoms like itching, nasal congestion, and sneezing.

Taking deep breaths or following some breathing techniques such as nasal breathing exercises, Pranayam, etc can help you to de-stress your body and lower the histamine levels in it.
