Which Chakras Are Responsible For Vertigo and Dizziness?

Posted by Gabriella Jacob

Vertigo is a sensation of feeling off-balance as if you are spinning internally or externally. It is a perception of moving or of objects around you moving when in reality they are in a stationary state. One may also feel they are swaying, tilting or there may be a spell of dizziness. In severe cases of vertigo, people are unable to stand or walk. While quite often vertigo gets resolved on its own with some days of rest, sometimes there may be medical intervention required. This of course is determined by the underlying reasons.  Along with conventional medicine, chakra healing can be an effective solution for rapid and long-lasting recovery from vertigo.

All living beings have the energy or vital force flowing through them. This flow of energy is regulated by chakras. Energy is taken in by the body through the chakras and used up energy is thrown out through them. In short, chakras regulate the functioning of the body. Any blockages in them would result in disease for the body. By correcting the condition of chakras one can support and enhance the healing process for any part of the body. Vertigo is no different, and by removing blockages in the relevant chakras one can rapidly recover from it.

What causes vertigo?

Which Chakras Are Responsible For Vertigo and Dizziness?

Vertigo is derived from the Latin word vertõ which can be translated into whirling or spinning movements. Various factors that can contribute to vertigo include inner ear problems, physical injury, stroke, tumor in the brain, heavy medication, migraine headaches, etc.

Oftentimes vertigo can be caused due to engaging in physical activity like spinning in a circular motion or it can also be an outcome of prolonged exposure to motion such as when on a ship or train.

There are times when vertigo may be accompanied by headache, nausea, and vomiting.

Types of vertigo

There are two types of vertigo, the first kind is called peripheral vertigo and is related to ear problems, the second one is called central vertigo, which is related to the brain and spine.

A) Peripheral vertigo

BPPV which stands for Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo occurs when tiny calcium particles (canaliths) clump up in canals of the inner ear. The structures in the inner ear may become inflamed spontaneously. Small crystals or stones found normally within the inner ear can become displaced and cause irritation to the small hair cells within the semicircular canals, leading to vertigo.

Ménière’s disease - The symptom of this disease is, the build-up of fluid in the inner ear. It can cause episodes of vertigo along with ringing in the ears (tinnitus) and hearing loss.

Vestibular neuritis or labyrinthitis is caused due to inflammation of the vestibular nerve which is responsible for sending information to the brain about balance.

B) Central vertigo

  • Concussion or traumatic brain injury may be associated with vertigo.
  • Strokes may cause vertigo and loss of coordination.
  • Tumors of the brain and spinal cord
  • Some patients with migraine headaches called vestibular migraine may develop vertigo as a symptom.

Why would someone get vertigo?

Vertigo can make anyone uneasy. The uncomfortable feeling of spinning is not an experience anyone would welcome.

Medically there are multiple causes of vertigo. But it’s important to remember it's not a disease in itself but a symptom of an underlying problem. Let's look at why someone would get vertigo.

Vertigo can be caused due to certain head movements, this happens if you have benign paroxysmal positional vertigo. Then certain ear problems like labyrinthitis, vestibular neuronitis, Meniere’s disease can also cause the problem.

Sometimes it may be the result of a head injury, migraine, a brain stroke, a tumor, medication, etc also. It’s important to understand the underlying cause of it before treatment.

It is believed by several schools of alternative therapies that there is a strong connection between diseases and the thinking pattern of the patient. So what is the spiritual reason for vertigo?

According to Hay House writer Louise Hay, the feeling of dizziness can come when there is a lot of confusion in your mind and scattered thinking. It's almost like your head is spinning due to this confusion.

You may also feel vertigo after a powerful meditation or when you are in the midst of powerful crystals. All you need to do in such a case is, ground yourself!

It is important though, that while you do inner work and correct your thought pattern, to also take proper medical advice and treatment.

Cure for vertigo

In most vertigo cases the symptoms go away on their own, with rest for a few hours or days however, this will depend on the cause of vertigo. We discussed the causes of vertigo but it is important to remember that in some cases only the symptoms are known and not the underlying reasons.

There is medication available but in a lot of cases, people suffer for a long time before finding the right solution. Chakra healing can be an effective complementary solution for almost all types of vertigo.

The Concept of Chakra Healing

Which Chakras Are Responsible For Vertigo and Dizziness?

The increasing popularity of alternative medicine has demystified the eastern concept of chakra to a large extent. The concept is thousands of years old and has been mentioned in yogic tradition and Vedic books. The word chakra means a wheel, and it is commonly believed that there are 7 major chakras. These chakras regulate the flow of energy in the body. It is worth noting that apart from major chakras, there is a network of minor and mini chakras as well. Also, a fine network of energy channels called meridians or “nadis” helps in regulating the flow of energy to various parts of the body. Most people are not able to notice them as they exist in energy form.

Energy Body vs Physical Body

Hard as it may be to believe, around our physical body there exists another body in energy form, commonly referred to as aura or etheric body. The chakras and nadis exist in energy form in the aura and in the physical body. A very important thing to note is that the energy body and physical body are correlated.  Whatever happens in one will happen in the other. Due to this correlation when there are obstructions in the flow of energy in the energy body, “dis-ease” is created in the physical body. Chakra healing focuses on removing these blockages to align the natural flow of energy thereby restoring good health.

There are various methods of chakra healing like Reiki, shamanic healing, etc however the one that stands out amongst them is Pranic Healing. This is because of the ease with which it can be learned and performed.  This is possible as the steps involved in the process are simple and explained in detail. As a result, even a layman can learn it and use it and there is no need for any special abilities.

Pranic Healing works on the principle that the body can heal itself. For example, if you cut yourself, you don't rush to a doctor. We are all aware that the body will heal itself. It's only when the rate of deterioration is faster than the rating of the healing process, that we need external help. With the help of Pranic Healing, one can expedite the rate of healing along with medication or therapy to beat most ailments rapidly.

Chakra Healing can be very useful in cases of vertigo.  Pranic Healing is known to have shown a high rate of success and can be a strong complementary tool for this. Pranic Healing focuses on removing energy blockages through a technique called “cleansing” and then pumps in fresh energy through a technique called “energizing”. Both are performed using chakras, and apart from the technique used, what differentiates it from other modalities is that you are also taught how to check the condition of chakras.

So if your vertigo is related to the ears you can treat the corresponding chakras by first examining the condition of chakras,  then cleaning the energy there, followed by channeling fresh energy. After the treatment, you can again check the condition of the chakras. In this manner, in a few sessions, one can align the energy body and physical body thereby restoring health.

The same process can be followed even if the reason behind vertigo is physical trauma or related to the brain or the spine. The chakras corresponding to the brain or spine can be treated to bring about results. A trained healer can produce great results.

Vertigo chakra: Let us understand the relationship between them

Chakras are energy centers and their function is to breathe in life energy or prana from the surroundings and breathe out used up and unwanted energies to ensure physical and emotional well-being. These chakras are not visible to the naked eye, however, clairvoyants see them as colorful circular spinning discs.

Most often, vertigo results from an imbalance in the ears, and so ear chakras can be associated with vertigo so it's also sometimes referred to as dizziness chakra for vertigo patients. When the chakra is not functioning to its optimum it either gets congested or depleted causing an interruption to the flow of prana or life energy responsible for maintaining our physical and emotional wellbeing.

It is not only the ear chakra that is affected, an advanced pranic healer will scan to understand the condition of all the chakras, sometimes if the condition is left untreated for too long, it can have a ripple effect causing other chakras also to be out of balance leading to several other ailments. Like if the ear minor chakra is untreated it may block the forehead minor chakras, the crown chakra, the Ajna chakra, and the forehead chakra.

Due to increasing awareness of the dangers and harmful side effects of popping pills, pranic healing is becoming more popular among the masses. Our body has the ability to heal itself, Pranic healing is only accelerating this healing process. The effects of chakra healing can be seen even from the first session. By practicing chakra meditation in conjunction with healing, the results are more rapid.

Crystals are naturally occurring stones with potent qualities inherent to them. They can be programmed to work on health, relationship, and financial issues to name a few, depending on their qualities.

Crystals can clean and strengthen the chakra, effectively helping with vertigo. When chakras are out of balance they manifest as disease. Let’s understand which chakra is off the balance in case of vertigo. It is mostly the root chakra, ajna, and crown chakra

Crystals that can help you ground yourself by working on the root chakra include black tourmaline, black obsidian, hematite, smoky quartz, black onyx, etc. This provides you stability and balances acting as a shield against dizzy spells.

Pranic Healing teaches you advanced methods of healing with crystals. You can also learn to program crystals and make them work for you by giving instructions. Programmed crystals can be placed on a person, be worn, or placed in the room occupied by the person.

It would be worth mentioning that sometimes body malfunction can impact us psychologically as well. With ill health and pain, one can feel anxious, dejected, or even depressed. This may make recovery take longer. The good news is that Pranic Healing can provide solutions in such cases also! This is because apart from physical functions, chakras also have emotional and mental functions.

There are techniques available in Pranic Healing to help with a large variety of psychological ailments like depression, anxiety, panic, trauma, or severe ailments like schizophrenia, phobias, etc.  As a result, it can promote psychological well-being, an integral part of physical well-being. This makes Pranic Healing very helpful in psychosomatic ailments as well.

Vertigo can be very uncomfortable for those who suffer from it. It can bring life to a complete standstill for the affected, for days or even months in some severe cases. By combining chakra healing with modern medicine one can achieve lasting recovery, quite rapidly.

Do vertigo go away

In these modern times, with the advancement in science alternative healing modalities are attracting wider attention, and a holistic approach to diseases is the need of the hour.

It is possible for vertigo to heal on its own, but Pranic healing speeds up the process. Vertigo can be cured with regular healing sessions, if the patient is receptive and willing to improve their state, regular sessions of Pranic healing help realign the chakras, balancing them and regulating the flow of prana through all the chakras and nadis ensuring optimal well being.

Most diseases are psychological in nature, any kind of negativity or stressful emotions can cause the chakras to go out of balance. There are many cases in which diseases first manifest in the energy body before manifesting in the physical body. When pranic healing is performed on any patient, the patient is also cured of any other diseases that are yet to manifest on the physical body.

Therefore, to answer our question it is best to leave one to experience it with an open mind and get a feel of these healing sessions, regulated flow of emotions promotes positivity and enthusiasm, which can help us change the way we feel not only mentally but also physically. As per research people who are happy tend to live longer and healthier.

Does chakra balancing really work

The myth that lies around alternative healing modalities is debatable, the best one can do is to experience it and only then draw a conclusion, there may be no tools or instruments to measure energy levels but the fact that hundred and millions of people are getting attracted and healed calls for some attention.

As Chakra balancing works on the energy level it is very specific many may doubt its ability and effectiveness to cure any ailment. Lately, however, science has revealed that our bodies are surrounded by several other subtle bodies that are invisible to the naked eyes. One cannot deny that our body has an innate ability to heal itself and Pranic or chakra healing only expedites this healing process.

It is reasonable to conclude that the growing popularity of certain healing practices, particularly Pranic healing, are effective and deserve a fair chance to prove their efficacy. We do not realize that we regard modern treatments as more effective and result-oriented simply because the diagnosis is faster, but not permanent, and comes with its own set of side effects.

When we do certain practices such as Yoga, meditation, and healings regularly for a substantial time, it takes longer to assimilate the energies and vibrate at a higher frequency, however, it lasts longer and is permanent and we are less likely to attract ailments.

Life is worth living while it's healthy!

In today's time, we forget to acknowledge our physical and psychological issues and learn to live with them. We have come to terms with it and therefore never live a fulfilled, happy and peaceful life.

We also firmly believe that one cannot live a disease-free life, however, our ability to overcome our issues will depend on showing some self-love and acknowledging our issues so we overcome them before they become chronic.

A holistic approach and a deeper connection with your divine self can do wonders, we are all children of the most high who is ever giving and loving all we need to do is tune in to his energies to overcome any challenges we face in our lives. There is enough energy available in the universe for each one of us to tap into and get healed for any problem in life.
