Improve Your Digestive System By Healing These Chakras

Posted by Gabriella Jacob

Digestion is an essential function for the existence and maintenance of the body. Through the process of digestion, the body breaks down food into a form easily absorbable by the cells which will result in growth, repair, and overall wellbeing of the body. Any disruption in the process results in discomfort or pain, inflammation, malabsorption of nutrients & associated disorders, weakness in the body, etc.

With increased consumption of processed food, food containing preservatives and chemicals, genetically modified food, extensive use of pesticides, sedentary lifestyle, digestion issues have become more common.  At the same time for most people disorders related to digestion can bring embarrassment, making them reluctant to discuss it until it becomes serious.

Chakra Healing can offer a very effective solution to most digestion problems. Chakras are energy centers that regulate the flow of energy in the body thereby controlling its overall functioning. Any blockage or obstruction in this flow of energy results in disease or discomfort in the body. Chakra healing helps to remove these blockages to restore the natural flow of energy. It can be easily combined with conventional or alternative medicine to promote rapid healing. Also, it is non-invasive which makes it quite safe.

Digestive system diseases with human body

Digestion issues big or small impact nearly all people at some time in their life. While the intensity can vary, digestion problems are never pleasant. Chakra healing can support recovery from most digestion issues.

Chakras exist in energy form and are part of the energy body of a person. The energy body envelops the physical body of human beings and the two bodies are interdependent. Whatever happens in the energy body also reflects in the physical body. So, if there are blockages in the energy body, sooner or later it will reflect in the physical body, in the form of the disease. When you clear these obstructions and allow energy to flow smoothly, the physical body responds by recovering rapidly. This is the principle behind the success of chakra healing.

Common Digestive Problems

Some of the common digestive ailments include:

1)      Constipation – probably the most common digestive disorder, constipation is a condition where there is no urge to pass stool or difficulty in passing stool. Older adults, people on certain medication or those with eating disorders may be more vulnerable to constipation.  It can be handled by including more fiber and consumption of whole grains, fruits, vegetables, and nuts. Also, adequate intake of water, physical activity, not holding the urge to defecate can help relieve the problem. One can also use laxatives and stool softeners when needed.

2)      Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease – the food passes through the esophagus to move to the stomach. When the lower esophageal sphincter becomes weak or relaxes abnormally it can allow acid from the stomach to flow back into the esophagus. This can result in damage to your esophagus. Long-term GERD can cause serious health problems like esophagitis, esophageal cancer, and strictures. Certain dietary changes like reducing trigger foods, sitting upright for 60 mins after eating food, quitting smoking, medication like antacids can help.

3)      Peptic Ulcer Disease – this is an open sore or hole in the lining of the small intestines, stomach, and sometimes lower esophagus.  This may be caused by bacteria H.pylori or by long-term use of pain killers and NSAIDs. Smoking, alcohol consumption, stress, and eating spicy foods can make the symptoms worse.

4)      Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)- it affects the large intestines and is a chronic condition. Symptoms include diarrhea or constipation, bloating, pain in the abdomen, gas, and cramping. The cause for IBS is not known additionally there is no cure as such. However, this disorder can be managed by making certain lifestyle changes like including exercise or physical activity, reducing stress, and avoiding spicy and fried foods.

5)      Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) – this includes disorders that involve chronic inflammation of the digestive tract.  Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis are two common IBD diseases. Symptoms include diarrhea, fatigue, reduced appetite, pain in the abdomen, cramping among others.  Treatment includes avoiding spicy foods and caffeinated drinks, medication, and surgery.

6)      Gallstones – they are hardened deposits usually of undissolved cholesterol, formed in the gall bladder. The gall bladder is an organ in the human body, releasing bile into the intestine. Not all gallstones cause a problem however if it blocks the movement of bile from the gall bladder, there may be pain which can last from 30 mins to several hours.

Some of the minor digestive problems include diarrhea, nausea, gas pain, bloating which could be the result of a stomach bug, intolerance to certain foods, or not using proper hygiene while cooking. Digestive problems big or small can occur for anyone and can cause discomfort and sometimes shame as well.

Chakras and their impact on health

Chakras have a direct impact on the physical and psychological health of humans. This is based on the principle that there is interdependence between the energy body and physical body of a person. As a result, what happens in one, reflects in the other. Because chakras regulate physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual functions of the body, any anomaly in any of these aspects can be corrected by correcting the condition of chakras.

Most texts talk about 7 major chakras, each chakra taking care of one or more important systems of the body. By treating corresponding chakra/s one can bring a lot of relief to the body.  A very effective and advanced form of chakra healing is Pranic Healing. It essentially employs two steps in the healing process. The first one is the process of cleaning any diseased energy from the chakra or organ to promote the free flow of energy to that part.

The second step involves projecting fresh energy to the cleansed chakra or part. This helps to expedite the healing process. Pranic healing also talks about the various color prana, its properties, and how it can be used to correct chakra imbalance. To learn more about Pranic Healing visit here. Chakras affected in digestion issues

The digestion process starts with the ingestion of food, followed by breaking down of the ingested food, moving to absorption and assimilation stage, and ending with elimination of unwanted food or waste. There are chakras governing every step of this process.

Pranic Healing talks about the chakra system and the function of the chakra in detail. It mentions 11 major chakras and several minor chakras. The minor chakras can be compared to the cities within a state. They have their independent function but are part of the whole.

The two major chakras impacted in digestive ailments are the solar plexus chakra and navel chakra.

Solar Plexus chakra is located in the hollow area between the ribs. On the physical level, it controls the functioning of the stomach, liver, pancreas, diaphragm, and small & large intestines to some degree. It largely controls the organs that perform the function of breaking down all food that has been ingested.

On the psychological level, solar plexus chakra is the center for emotions like personal power aggression, self-esteem, jealousy, stress, worry, persistence, courage, etc. This is the reason, why a particularly difficult situation inducing fear may result in diarrhea or feeling of nausea for some people. Prolonged anxiety or stress may cause acidity or reflux for others.

The beauty of chakra healing is whether the reason for the digestion issue is physical or psychological, both can be addressed through treating the solar plexus chakra.

The other major chakra which is important in addressing digestive issues is the navel chakra. It is located on the navel and governs the functioning of small & larger intestines and the appendix. The navel chakra controls organs that play an important in the assimilation of the food that has been consumed. Therefore, for the body to absorb nutrients proper functioning of the navel chakra is vital.

The navel chakra is also the center of “knowing” or instincts. This is perhaps why people say – “I feel it in my gut” or “I have a gut feeling about this” because they are talking from their instinct.

Other Chakras that affect your digestion

In addition to the above chakras throat chakra, secondary throat chakra (a minor chakra) and jaw minor (minor chakra) also play an important role. This is because the process of digestion starts right from the time you put food in your mouth. We use salivary glands, jaws, and esophagus to ingest the food, and these chakras support and govern these organs.

Most of the digestive ailments can be addressed through chakra healing. It works wonderfully with medication to expedite healing and provide substantial relief. Balance and harmony in chakral conditions promote not only physical well-being but also qualities like creativity, intuition, wisdom, confidence, balance in emotions to name a few. Peace of mind, healthy relationships, and overall success in life are the natural outcomes.
